A Couple Of Poems From:

This is how it is

MANNA

It's raining love
in buckets and torrents,
a veritable deluge.

You can stand in it,
wallow in it,
jump up and down
and splash it on everybody,
shake yourself
and fling it far and wide.

It's running down the streets,
covering the sidewalks,
flooding basements.

There's no getting away from it.
it soaks through the skin,
warms the bones,
sets the heart floating like a lotus flower
on a pond of pure vibration.

It has the taste of infinity,
calorie free and completely nourishing,
life sustaining
and less bitter than tears.

RENEWAL

Every spring I rediscover joy.

As I sulk through winter,

dreading the elements,

            closeting myself too frequently

with the news on the television

and the puerility on the internet,

I lose my vibrancy

my well being.

And then along comes a robin,

a green shoot that promises a crocus,

a pregnant bud,

a sunbeam blessing my bones,

some friends with their heads on straight

and their hearts wide open.

And they all remind me

  1. and make it easier,

that things are what they are

and I am reborn in bliss.
